Consumer Behavior in Today’s Real Estate Industry

During our Consumer Behavior in Today’s Real Estate Industry Panel, our moderator and panelists will be discussing how consumer behavior has changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, if they expect these changes to stick around, and what home buyers and sellers are now expecting. Here are our panelists:


William Adams:

Will joined LendingTree in June of 2014 and oversees LendingTree’s Sales and Client Management teams across multiple channels. Will and his team are responsible for lender growth through consulting on best practices, analytical proposals, and filter optimization.

Will has 24 years of mortgage experience with the majority of his career focused on sales and fulfillment leadership. He specializes in origination strategy and lead conversion.


Peter Schravemade:

In 2019 Peter Schravemade presented in 22 different countries in front of over 450K people, including keynotes at Inman Connect in New York, NAR Annual, NAR Mid-year, MIPIM in Cannes, Property Portal Watch in Madrid, Bangkok and Miami, and RE/MAX R4 R/U. His words were featured in both Forbes Magazine and the Wall Street Journal, countless NAR articles, and throughout major publications in Europe, The UK, and the Asia/Pacific region.

Mr. Schravemade was a featured guest at over 150 conferences in the USA alone in varying capacities and attended over 250 conferences globally, covering 490,000 miles in the air, or enough travel to circumnavigate the globe 22 times. Finally, to cap off an exhilarating 2019 Peter was named as the Elite Agent, Asia/Pacific’s Property Industry’s most influential.

In our discussion of the New World of the Home Buying Process we will go over the challenges of conducting business virtually, how clients are feeling about recent digital changes, and how professionals can win in this new scope of business. Our panelists are:


Austin Niemiec:

Austin Niemiec is the Executive Vice President of Quicken Loans Mortgage Services (QLMS).  In this role, Austin oversees a team based out of Charlotte and Detroit who provide the highest level of service to nearly 8,000 partner brokers, regional banks and credit unions. From those partner organizations, more than 37,000 LOs and processors currently assist their clients with help from QLMS.

Before his current position, Austin served the company by leading the Account Executives at QLMS. He joined Quicken Loans in 2009 as a Loan Officer, where he grew to understand the varied needs of homeowners through his work with thousands of clients.

Austin earned a bachelor’s degree in Business, Management and Marketing from Hillsdale College, where he was also a member of the football team.  Austin resides in the Detroit area.


Jeff Medley:

Jeff has over 23 years of experience in the mortgage, realty, and title landscape. From humble beginnings as an entrepreneurial mortgage broker, he grew a 6-person shop into a $100M per month mortgage lender operating in 38 states, ultimately selling the company in 2009. After obtaining his master’s in business administration from Clemson University, he rejoined the industry focusing his expertise on operations which included time as the Division Vice President of Operations for Quicken Loans overseeing both retail and wholesale operations teams. Now as Head of Operations for LemonBrew Technologies he is working on the national growth and expansion, with a current focus on its title agency division, LemonBrew Abstract. He truly has a passion for the client experience and delivering a truly fresh and transparent approach to everyone involved in the transaction.


Scott Gartner:

Scott Gartner, Founder and CEO of RoadtoClose, has been involved in the real estate industry for nearly 20 years as an attorney, licensed realtor, and business owner. Seeing a need to reduce missed deadlines and improve poor communication in the real estate process, he created the cloud-based, transaction management app RoadtoClose. The mission is to simplify the process from contract to closing for all professionals involved while enhancing the experience for buyers and sellers.

An entrepreneur by nature, Scott is also the founder of Merit Law Group, which concentrates on commercial and residential real estate, civil litigation, banking law, corporate documentation, and estate planning. He has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) focused in Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, as well as a B.A. degree in History and Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University.

The Value of Digital Marketing is growing now more than ever. During this panel, our speakers will discuss their biggest tips for marketing in a digital space, how to get started, and how to create relationships with your clients through a screen. These panelists are:


Justin Knoll:

As a fourth-generation Realtor and Denver native, Justin has been a fixture in the metro area real estate market for nearly two decades. In 2000 he started the Knoll Team, in addition to serving as Managing Broker of the Cherry Creek office for several years.

In 2010, he was elected as the youngest President in the 120+ year history of the Denver Board of Realtors and was able to lead one of the largest Realtor Association mergers in the nation, now known as DMAR and was elected first president there.

In 2014, Justin was hired as the President of Madison & Company Properties where he helped grow the company to over 150 Realtors who averaged over $6 million in sales volume annually, reaching over $1B in sales in 2019.

In 2019, Justin launched Knoll Coaching and Consulting, focused on the development of Realtors and strategic planning for Brokerages and Associations around the region.

Justin currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the Colorado Association of Realtors, the 13th largest state Association in the nation, representing over 26,000 members and 32 local Associations, and also serves as a Director for the National Association of Realtors.


Jeremy Bellinghausen:

Jeremy has worked in digital performance marketing for more than 15 years with companies such as,, Dex, Orbitz, and eBay. Currently, he is CEO at Scripted, the leading platform connecting content marketers with high-quality, vetted writers who know how to create content that performs. Jeremy lives in the SF Bay Area where he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking & mountaineering, and (hopefully someday soon again) travel.


Eleni Sommerschield:

Eleni Sommerschield is the Chief Operating Officer at Wise Agent, her primary focus is the growth and development of Wise Agent CRM. She also facilitates strategic integrations and partnerships for Wise Agent. She is committed to leveraging technology to be more efficient in order to enjoy a well-balanced life. Eleni was born and raised in Chicago, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from DePaul University. She currently lives in the quaint town of Fountain Hills, Arizona with her husband and three children. Eleni is fluent in English, Greek and Tech!
